Love Without Truth is ...

I was thinking of the great damage being done in the Church under the pretense of pastoral mercy, and the new heresy of gradualism, that somehow, if you allow people to "do evil" and give them what they want, eventually they will come the way of the Church.

The old maxim applies, one can never do evil that good comes from it.  Relativism is the menu of the day, and any consideration of watering down the truth of doctrine is literally cruel to those you hope will come back to the Church.  When you put aside doctrinal teaching in the name of "love" and "compassion" this is what you get:

Love and Mercy without truth is cruelty.
